Before joining Techmodal, Alex spent 10 years working in the Public Sector, firstly at the Office for National Statistics (ONS) and more recently in Public Health Wales (PHW).

Alex held a number of different roles in ONS, initially within the Project Delivery Profession, supporting the running of a number of projects as well as leading his own continuous improvement initiatives. After 3-4 years Alex decided he wanted a change of scenery and moved into business intelligence, where he undertook several analytical roles, honing his skills in both Alteryx and Tableau.

Moving to PHW Alex took on more of a leadership role as Corporate Analytics Manager, where he established a BI Function, introducing and training a team of analysts on Alteryx and Tableau. However, his love for dashboard builds and process automation meant he was always heavily involved in developments.

When not in work, Alex loves spending time with his family; wife Kirsty, step son Theo and dog Lyra. If he’s not with them, you’ll likely find his in the Monmouthshire area, riding a steel horse (road bike) or watching Football (Wales and Man Utd) and Rugby (Wales and Dragons). He’s more recently been forced into doing Triathlons which has also taken up a bit of his time lately!
